the baby effect

I found a very cool way to give to children’s charities today so I had to share.

www.thebabyeffect.org

the baby effect

The Baby Effect enables donations to children’s charities by celebrating new births by making donations child-related charities around the world.  They encourage new parents to spread the word via a Baby Effect enclosure card in their birth announcement — offering friends and family the option to donate to The Baby Effect charities in honor of their child’s birth.

Pass it on…

The Best Compact Camera EVER.

leica front

I am obsessed with my Leica D-Lux 4.  It is the best point and shoot digital camera I have ever had.  Since this camera is super small I take it everywhere I go.  I always have it in my bag just in case the there is a great photo opp. I also have a couple of digital Nikon SLRs but they are big and heavy and are not always the most convenient to take everywhere.

My favorite part of this camera is that the focus, shutter speed, stops and exposure override can all be set manually with the joystick so you can almost be as creative as if you were shooting with a big SLR.  Photos can be recorded in fine, standard, RAW or combinations.

D-Lux-4-topThe camera has 10.1 megapixels so the quality of the images that you can get is amazing.  The sensor enables true to life colors and contrasts that are unbeatable to any other small camera in this category.

The D-Lux 4 also takes HD Video and comes with a HD port for TV connection.
